Chandigarh- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Mr. Jai Prakash Dalal has assured the farmers of the State that the arrangements are being made to purchase wheat and mustard crops at the minimum support price. The farmers will not be affected by the lockdown implemented in the wake of COVID-19 threat. He appealed to the farmers to avoid misinformation and rumors.
In a message issued today to the farmers, the Agriculture Minister said that in this harvesting season, arrangements are being made to ensure that the combine and other agricultural machinery coming from Punjab and other states will not be stopped from entering the State. He also assured the farmers that the directions have been issued to take their vegetables to Mandis.
The Agriculture Minister has appealed to the residents and farmers of the State to follow the directions given by the Government and to do the necessary work by maintaining Social distance.
The Animal Husbandry Minister also said that no restrictions will be imposed on the movement of feed and fodder for agriculture-related businesses such as poultry, animal husbandry, fisheries, etc.
