Chandigarh – Haryana, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda, has directed the District Project Officers, CDPOs and Supervisors of the Department to provide ration and other goods to the beneficiaries of Anganwadi Centers on time in view of the situation arising due to COVID-19.
Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda spoke to the DPOs and other officers of the department in a telephonic conversation here today and reviewed the efforts being made for the convenience of the people. She gave the instructions to ensure the ration reached the beneficiaries on time so that they don’t face any problem.
She said that social distancing should be maintained while distributing ration and other essential commodities like sanitary napkins, diapers, sanitizers and face masks from door to door by the Anganwadi workers and helpers in collaboration with the concerned district administration across the state to prevent the spread of corona virus.
She also instructed the officers to get maximum number of masks made and also for distributing them with the help of Anganwadi workers and helpers. In addition, she also instructed to provide timely services like food, health check-up, yoga and counselling to migrant workers, pregnant women and others living in shelter homes for their sound mental health. She said the workers should ensure social distancing while doing this.
