MP meets with Jammu Administration, reviews facilities being extended during lockdown

JAMMU- Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas, today had a detailed meeting with the authorities of Jammu adminstration regarding availability of essentials and other necessities during lockdown imposed due to the Corona pandemic.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Tahir Firdous Dutta, gave a detailed brief about the measures being adopted by the dispensation during the lockdown especially ration supply to the needy and poor. He informed about the working of a dedicated control room set up to register the grievances of people and facilitate them with proper feedback.
MP, while taking stock of initiatives being taken up for welfare of farmers community during this harvesting season, urged upon the administration to look into the issue of transportation of harvesting machines. These machines were earlier being transported from Punjab,  and other areas but now due to lockdown this has become a grave concern for the farmers and needs to be resolved at the earliest.
