The District Police is going strict against those violating the curfew imposed owing to corona virus.
Disclosing this here today, SSP Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chahal said that in the District, since 23rd March, 2020 till now, a total of 368 FIRs were registered with 786 persons being arrested and 502 vehicles being impounded.
It is worth mentioning that the hockey stadium in Phase 9 has been converted into temporary jail till the prohibitory orders remain in force. The main reason behind the move is to ensure that the COVID-19 is effectively contained and stopped from spreading. He exhorted the people to stay indoors in the larger interest of the society and clearly said that violators of curfew would be strictly dealt with.
